Are you familiar with GAAP?
Yes, As I am a business graduate, during my B. B. A and M. B. A, I practiced in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and still doing so.
What information do you need to perform a bookkeeping job?
At first, I need accounting firm access to QuickBooks Online & Xero, after that, I need the bank, credit card, and loan statements as well as all purchase and sales data in the right format. The requirement may vary from client to client's business nature and workflow.
Without knowing my business & workflow, can you categorize expenses and income?
Yes, I usually categorize based on the description of the bank/credit card statements. But I don't wholly rely on the artificial intelligence of QuickBooks & Xero, rather I prepare an Excel query sheet and will deliver you to know about the purpose of the transactions if necessary.
Why will I be asked to give you QuickBooks/Xero access before placing an order?
First, I make sure that the client's books are ready for the work I am asked for. If I find discrepancies in the books which need to be rectified before I start my job. I point out those. If the client agrees to rectify them, I forward and start my job.
Can you tell me the way of giving access to my QuickBooks Online or Xero?
First, you have to log in QuickBooks online account, then go to the “Gear" Icon from the top of the right corner -> “Manage Users" -> "Accounting Firms" -> “Invite". Also, you have to give at least “Standard or Admin" access by adding a user from the setting of your login QuickBooks account.
Why need pdf statements although bank/credit card account is connected to QBO?
Due to cross-checking transactions with QuickBooks or Xero register, reconciliation, and adjusting PayPal or Stripe appropriately, I need PDF statements.

What will be your step if you don't know the work?
Without knowing the working nature and looking into the client's book, I don't take an order. If I can't do the work, I straightly say sorry without wasting the client's time.
